We offer pet ultrasound imaging services alongside radiology. It enables us to peer inside a pet’s body and view more detailed images of tissues than those provided by X-rays. It can also be used without placing an animal under anesthesia. Various disorders can be diagnosed safely and easily by veterinarians using ultrasound devices.

Our ultrasound services are performed by a Licensed Ultrasound Technician, who performs imaging on a daily basis and sonogram findings interpreted by a Board Certified Radiologist or Cardiologist, ensuring high-quality service.

Pet Echocardiography

Pet Echocardiography is a non-invasive and painless technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to assess your pet’s heart. Early detection of heart disease is crucial for effective treatment and can significantly improve the lifespan of your pet.

At our veterinary clinic, we offer echocardiography services to diagnose a range of cardiac conditions, including:

  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Valvular disease
  • Heart murmurs

What To Expect During Your Pet’s Ultrasound

An ultrasound is a painless procedure that utilizes high-frequency sound waves to show images of your pet’s body and organs. It’s an efficient way to diagnose:

  • Abdominal issues
  • Musculoskeletal abnormalities

Most likely, your pet will not need to be sedated, but areas of hair may need to be shaved or clipped and coupling jelly applied between the energy-sensing, smooth instrument (the transducer) and your pet’s skin.

This procedure can determine whether your pet needs surgery. Sometimes, life-saving surgery is the result of what has been noted on an ultrasound, such as a ruptured bladder or spleen.
